Ok I know this has been discussed to death on the old forum but I can't fine much on here so if there is a thread then please direct me to it, if not which is a decent DC at a reasonable price? I've been looking at the Halfords Nextbase 412GW at £103 plus fitting by them. Seems to get good and bad reviews?? I’ve recently bought two of the 412GWs. Seem very good. So very easy to instal and they were about 90 quid each.

I have been looking for a dashcam for the new camper, I have been thinking of one with a rear camera and a reasonable screen, so I can also use it for a rearview mirror as I do not have a clear view through the camper.
Anyway, I came across this.
It doesn't have GPS but seems a good spec for the price considering it has a rear camera, I cannot find any more information about it, for example how the rear camera connects, and if you can set the screen permanently to display the rearview.
Any comments on this camera or a suitable alternative that suits my needs welcome, ideally I would prefer GPS as well and a rear camera that doesn't need me to run a cable the full length of the camper would be a help.
I don't want to skimp on price, but I do have a limited budget.
Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.

I can't see that one functioning particularly well as a digital rear view mirror. You'll find better options Googling "digital rear view mirror dashcam" but I can't recommend anything as I don't have a digital rear view mirror style dashcam. They do make front and rear dashcams that have the rearward looking camera immediately behind the forward looking camera - but that won't be able to see through the van any better than you can already. So you probably want the rear camera mounted on/by the rear screen and in all cases that I have come across that will require running a cable between the front and rear units - the cable then runs both power and signal to the rear camera.

I have an oldish Garmin Camper 760 for the van and having just bought a trailer, need the corresponding rear view camera which is wireless. Not Available from Garmin as too old, and just missed a new one on EBay that went for £85. Anyway worth looking at the camper series from Garmin as the Camper 780 "bundle" can also be wired to show all the time, or just when reversing.

Thanks for the suggestion, i had a look and a bit pricy for me, also my fault i should have been clearer when i said about GPS, i was just talking about a dashcam that recorded location rather than a satnav, for the amount of time that i use a satnav, tomtom go or even google maps is fine for me. Still looking at dashcams for the camper, this looks like the only one that ticks all the boxes.
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384905510575
It has a good-sized screen to use as a (camera) rearview mirror, also the front camera is separate from the display, most I have seen like this, the camera is in the back of the display, but on the ducato the mirror is out of the wiper coverage, also there is a screen printed grid around the mirror fixing spreading out to the sides, so the front camera needs to be located lower down or to the side.
In addition, most rear camera's only have a 5-6m cable (in fact so does this one) but they can supply an 8m one for an extra £20.
Any comments or suggestions welcome.
