A very happy birthday Don,how are you finding the Lexus? Best wishes Stew and Chris 🧑🦽 I’ve just changed it again Stew. I’m now in the new 300h which has the lates Mk5 powertrain same as some of the newer Toyotas. It also has a high powered rear axle so is quicker than the FWD. It has the digital dash and the electronic shifter so general upgrades. It’s got the black interior which I wouldn’t choose but it was in stock in Burnaston and a good price. I’m still working part time and I’ve had that many mates fall ill or drop off their perch that I just think “what the heck”! It’s better by far on fuel and I got a £65 refund on the insurance because it has the 3.0 safety system. We’ve just got back from a week up in Scotland where we went to see Big Kev and his lovely wife Maureen. We stayed just up the road in Lossiemouth so the car got a good test with all safety systems active including the speed warning that 24 model cars must have. It’s not a problem at all and I really like the proactive driving assist which literally keeps an eye on your driving and brakes when it sees a hazard etc. Sounds a bit big brother ish but I quite like it. It had an oil change at 890 miles and has done just over 2000 with the Scotland trip and is well into the 50s so I expect it will settle into the low 60mph which is fine for a hybrid.

Hi Don not been on site very much, tbh doesn't seem a lot happening plus my 95 Yr old mother is having a few problems, your car sounds amazing having had a Lexus myself they really are the best made cars in the world, miss my Sc 430 but not practical for me, I cannot afford a new car and I am a bit worried about parts and labour costs although with a Lexus you should not get any problems, my brother and his wife have a new Mercedes, and a new electric BMW, they are both experiencing error codes and even main dealers don't seem to know what to do, I still have a warning light on mine which no one can solve, but doesn't affect the car in anyway so learned to live with it, best of luck with your new car Stew
