Well , hello all. Havn't been on here for a while - Eclipse Cross is OK... Apart from a small hole in exhaust rear silencer at 17k miles.
So , yes - been very careful mask wareing anywhere inside. And sanitising wherever needed, and still it gets me. So, at home - luckily in garden in the sun at the moment. Utube on smart phones is great.
Only symptoms so far , croaky throat and bad voice.

Yes , we've both had all we're alloted.
Lucky we're both in reasonably good health.
Mother is now positive too , she's 77 very shortly.. but in good spirits.
And I'm 51 in April.
Thanks for the kind comments.

Hi Jamie , how are you feeling now ? I tested positive yesterday and I've been into work today as I feel ok.. That is not that good... If you tested positive you definitely spreading the virus. You would not want to infect someone vulnerable would you?

It's the normal now evidently, as long as you feel ok to work then life goes on as usual.

not sure that is a good idea personally? I know the rules changed about not isolating if someone in the household is positive, but positive yourself?

Let's face it, some workplaces put a lot of indirect pressure on individuals to just go in. Then there's the question of whether you drop to statutory sick pay or not.
I'm not condoning it but it happens.
I guess it's partly dependant on the size of the place, the size of the workforce and the nature of the work.
The place I work is continuing to ask you to not come in, if you know you are covid positive. Mask wearing is optional. The number of people in meeting rooms continue to be limited and you are asked to continue to give social distancing space to those who want it and to respect that. Knowing the various characters in the workplace, you can predict very accurately those who do and don't continue to wear masks.
I suspect the concern at my workplace is equally to do with the potential of the company being sued over not taking due diligence over health, as it is out of a genuine concern for employees' health.

Clearly very different advice around depending where in the UK you are. Luckily for English Residents, it must be turned back at the border just 3 miles from me .... This is the email I got after I went to a drop-on mobile centre yesterday: Dear David xxxxxx Birth date: xx/xx/xxxx Test date: 16/03/2022
Your coronavirus PCR test (or other lab test) result is positive. It’s likely you had the virus when the test was done.
Self-isolate immediately (including if this is a follow-up test result) from the day your symptoms started, or the test date if you’ve no symptoms.
Your close contacts may need to self-isolate. Go to www.nhsinform.scot/isolation If you cannot access this online advice, you can instead call the National Contact Tracing Centre on 0800 030 8012.

I opted to stay at home and isolate , I work in a shop. And nhs website does say ,they'd like you to isolate and stop the spread.
My manager said its my call , personally I couldn't be responsible for spreading it. So I've been nowhere for 12 days , and still testing positive!, i will wear a face mask as i have done for months
It's only yesterday and today I've felt I had more energy.
I'm going back tomorrow.. Wed, nhs Says you're less transmissible after 6 days.
So I'll give it a go , also we're stocktaking this week - so they need knowledgeable staff there.
It has definitely affected my breathing,as I'm a little breathless after an hours walking now.

I would go for a PCR test if I were you, in case the LFTs are a bit over-sensitive. My OH tested negative, then a couple of days later was positive, and then within a week (I think), negative again. I tested Positive and then negative again within a few days. both of us felt rough BEFORE testing Postive and still not fully right after testing Negative again. Like you, energy levels a bit down compared to pre-covid (but I will say I would be more than a little breathless after an hours walking BEFORE Covid!! I went out last night to my Archery Club and packed up after 30 minutes (usually do 90 mins)). I would say do wear a mask if you go back tomorrow just for your own peace of mind (you wouldn't want to think it was you who infected anyone else if someone new came down with it!)

I really don’t understand this go to work with covid thing…..
My sisters best friend lost her husband last year and has now gone down with covid just 3 days after visiting us here at home. She is extremely poorly with a poor prognosis. She’s a lady in her early 70s things really aren’t looking good.
Thankfully we’ve both tested negative which given my wife’s health is extremely important to us….
Not everyone has robust health so this “ let it rip “ attitude is a bloody disgrace…….l
Not having a pop at Jase here or anyone else but especially Jase because I know what a proper decent bloke he is….. The situation however is ridiculous.

I agree , I'm on a salary but my Managing Director asked that I go to work if I felt ok to. Luckily I only spend my time with two other lads one who'd recently had it and the other is at work now having tested positive too. We always wear masks when leaving our work area. I only did a test out of curiosity because I'd had a seriously bad cold that only lasted for three or four days. How many are carrying on as normal not knowing they have Covid ? Loads I would imagine and it's only going g to get worse as test kits become scarce.
