Never thought off cross climate tyres, like the look of them, funny enough my local Toyota dealer is the cheapest for the Michelin's cross climates, not a lot more expensive than a summer tyre, ill give um a go i think, ta for the advice Superb tyres.......very quiet and great wet grip. Equal to having winter tyres imho. I actually found the Cross Climates better than the Winter Tyres I had on the car AND better than the Summer Tyres. Total win-win, especially for non-high mileage drivers where tyres tend to age-out rather than wear out

Just fitted Cross Climates on mine. Absolutely superb despite being sceptical about the hype. Not tried them in snow but the noise is virtually none existent. What I found most striking was how an A rated tyre for wet performance behaves. We came back from the Cotswolds in what can only be described as “biblical” rain. Where normal tyres would be pulling at the steering, they were just un phased as if nothing was there.

Or is it because you need more than a summer tyre?

Or is it because you need more than a summer tyre? It had done about 2500 miles I think. I haven’t got any spare wheels and with winter coming, I decided to take the plunge. It’s saves the twice yearly faff changing them.

I can understand that and living further north than me the chances are you will put them to good use. When I first got the CRV I thought I would just get some miles out of the current tyres and then change them for crossclimates but 3 years later there's still plenty of tread and I know as soon as I change the tyres I will end up changing the car!
