Thanks for all the reply's, had a test drive in it today and signed on the dotted line, the gearbox is the cvt type which i was not aware of but the car drove great, once again thanks Fairly sure the CVTs are not AWD...... The CVT that I test-drove was AWD, Charlie.

Quick update, after a month of ownership im quite impressed with the petrol rav, fuel economy is about 33mpg, cvt gearbox takes some getting used to but is very smooth and i like it now, fitted Michelin cross climates all round and i love them, quite and very sure footed on the road, i like my cars to be spot on and everything working, so ive fitted a new yuasa battery the old one was a make ive never heard of, Osram night breaker bulbs fitted and some scuffs on alloys sorted, the icing on the cake was Toyota offering an extra years warranty for £100, so 2 years peace of mind, happy days.
