Looking great Bob Do you like the Duellers then Bob as they didn't seem to get good reviews about em on here by most, been noisy?? We didn't even look at the AA cover as we already had the club Toyota AA cover but yes does seem a bit of a con I did ask if they had any other brands of tyre available at the same price but in the end the Bridgestone is tried and tested and reliable tyre...and original fitment 👍🏻 I know there is lots of debate on here about tyres for the RAV but I have to say that personally I've only once had a problem with Duellers where they were out of round causing odd vibrations in the car. I replaced them with Coopers on that occasion but every other one of our 4.2s ran on Bridgestones. They might be noisier than others but to be honest I really don't notice (OK m my hearing ain't what it used to be ). As far as ride comfort, road holding and wear are concerned, they're fine. :TU:

Bob, did you have to haggle to get them to fit new tyres - or were the previous ones low tread?

Amongst my many questions I asked about the vehicle, one was the age of the tyres and they came back with all good tread but out of date. They offered to fit new ones like for like. From what I’ve read up dealers should not be selling cars with tyres more than 5 years old . The set I have now are all 2019 👍🏻

I asked them to put the best tyre from the four they took off as the spare, so once I get around to looking at it I can see what date it is . The spare wheel is corroded but I bought a wheel last week thats in sound condition.

The insides look like mine did when I got them back from Davravs refurbishers in Swindon. You'd better keep an eye on SHCM if you see him. Anchorman once said he had a perchant for eating his meals off the inside of his wheels and yours look like they would do ( dinner ) service for him

The Duellers were really crap on the T and SR 180s but they were a different type of tyre even though the runflat was taken care of by rings. If these are quiet the job done. It’s not like the cars going on track days .... If it’s quiet then they’re likely spot on for this car. They were renowned as being good mileage tyres .

I didn’t think Duellers we’re still being made but these have mid 2019 stamped on them 🤔 if I want to keep it near original then the tyre choice is fine 😎

Amazing job refurbishing the spare. Do you take the tyre to a fitter now, or can you do that yourself as well?
