From what I have read on here re that dealer's excellent after sales service I would think it was well worth taking a chance. IF it was a private sale I would be quite hesitant for the reasons given by unclebob.

No David. I am not looking looking just having a look ! Originally I thought I would buy one and if it turned out to be okay maybe to sell the CRV. But as time with this pandemic has gone on I have realised that I hardly need one car, let alone two, but I want that one car to be fairly new and no trouble to own. So I have in my head ruled out the 3 door RAV but I still keep a look at what autos WCVC has. Just curiosity. I have also come to the conclusion that I don't want to put too much money into a car that depreciates but is rarely used. The CRV has still done fewer than 19000 miles and is 3.5 years old. I'll swap it for a smaller newer car sometime but for the foreseeable future it will sit on the drive with the occasional trip out.

Bob, would the fact that it is a salvaged vehicle concern you?

The seller is also selling a damaged front bumper and grill so looks like it might have been front end damage? So if our old Blue Rav nearlt got wrote off because the rear quarter panel got pushed in would this have been the same sort of thing, so the Rav itself might still be ok, or would it affect the insurance??

How do these older ravs fair with the dreaded rust? As far as i’m aware the mk2 gets surface corrosion to suspension parts and that’s about it 👍🏻

How do these older ravs fair with the dreaded rust? I have had five 4.2s and rust has not been an issue on any of them.
