It’s anybody’s fault except the people wandering about as if there is no virus.

The mash missed the final point that MH would then proceed to blame everything on vaccination naysayers and conspiracy theorists.

David the virus has been passed around by several school kids. Initially it’s thought to have come from one school and then passed around. If the schools had been closed the infection could not have been picked up. So how can it be blamed on anything but the schools being open. The village is tiny with very few living there. Numbers of infection are around 20. It’s through the tracking system they know where it came from. It took to long though before it spread. People are at work. Kids are at school. How on earth can this be called a lockdown ..... Mad. One of those to stupid to learn seemingly got infected by the lad that got it first. It was his grandson. He passed away early this afternoon.

There is no lockdown! The streets are as full as ever, people are going on their business as normal. They have just closed those who cannot speak up. It is madness! DIY stores are open, so they had to open garden centers as well... Mad!!!

People are ignoring the lock down in every town...I posted a letter yesterday didn’t see a single mask on anyone outside.... Might not be compulsory outside but it makes common sense 🤨

I do understand that the economy is a priority but we either have a lockdown on everyone or nothing at all..... How can it be fair otherwise?

Likely ? Oh I think it’s more than likely it’s happening..... Of course if everyone follows the rules to the letter then it is still perhaps containable.. But in the case in our wee village no one suspected anything . It’s the first in our area and I guess complacency played a big part rather than stupidity. It’s unerving when it is so close.

Not nearly every household has kids at school. They’re trying to keep things on an even keel and providing the rest of us play ball, the virus will reduce. The government openly admit it isn’t a full lockdown and are doing their best. The very simplest advice of “hands, face, space” does actually work. If a school kid brings it home and the family practice the advice, it will stay there - mostly. It isn’t perfect but neither is a full lockdown. Common sense - HANDS, FACE, SPACE. ESSENTIAL REASONS FOR LEAVING THE HOUSE ONLY.

Some businesses will prosper by that I mean garden centres who are selling loads of Christmas stuff while for instance a lady we know who owns a gift shop in Tenbury Wells has had to close. In essence the garden centre 1 mile up the road at Burford Is having a field day while the gift shop almost certainly will close for good. Of course not all households have school kids the chap who passed down in Clifton didn’t. Yes he was older (68 I believe) but no he would not have died without contracting covid directly or indirectly from the outbreak at the school. fairness is for everyone not a selected few.

A secondary school about 4 miles away has 100 virus cases - mainly kids, but teachers too. A primary school less than a mile away has shut 2 classes down and sent kids home due to virus cases. Lanarkshire is likely to go to Tier 4 full lockdown next week....and there is no message to kids to avoid contact/wear masks/ distance etc. Kids get it; pass it on; perhaps don't have symptoms, and then older folk pay the price. Surely increasing test and trace is more necessary than ever? I had a test done last Friday..drive through centre. Drive in; pick up envelope with testing swab and kit. Park up; adjust interior mirror; do the swab in throat then nose; put in vial, seal and put in envelope and then in another envelope and seal. Throw into plastic bin on drive out. So why does it need 12 staff hanging around under 2 gazebos to oversee test?? The place could've been handling four times as many people. I got my result back 10 hours later - negative. So the system seems to work but we need to do more testing to isolate those that do have it....testing at school regularly would make sense if they are so keen to keep schools open

But it was to late the damage was done. How anyone can believe having schools open is a good idea is beyond me. Kids of all ages get closer together and who can blame them. They are after all kids. We that is in our house have no choice we self isolate or run unimaginable risks. I go out every day either up Shelsley Walsh or over the Bromyard Downs with the dog. I get no closer than 20 yards when I see other dog walkers. For me it’s mind numbing it really is .

Maybe the following might be of help if anyone on here comes across people who refuse to follow medical advice.
